Shi Min Liew

Clinical experience

Since her postgraduate training, Shi Min has clocked a decade of clinical practice. She previously worked in three of Singapore’s restructured hospitals, namely Institute of Mental Health, Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH) and Singapore General Hospital (SGH). In her latest role as a senior psychologist at SGH, she worked extensively with adults and adolescents with a wide range of presenting issues and mental health conditions. She was one of the multidisciplinary team members in the specialized Eating Disorder Program at SGH and she has the expertise in treating various types of eating disorders, such as anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa. Currently, she is treating adults and adolescents experiencing various difficulties, including Mood Disorders (depression, bipolar disorder), Anxiety (panic, social anxiety, generalized anxiety disorder), Eating Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive and Related Disorders, Specific Phobia, Personality Disorders, trauma, grief, pregnancy-related, stress, identity issues, and relationship issues (peers, family, work, romance).

Treatment approaches

Shi Min is proficient in implementing evidence-based treatments, such as, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Schema Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Solutions Focused Brief Therapy. Her eclectic approach offers bespoke psychotherapy treatments based on your needs and strengths.

Other professional roles

A group psychotherapy specialist and a member of the Science to Service Taskforce at American Group Psychotherapy Association, Shi Min conducts a wide range of group psychotherapy programs. She also leads experiential learning groups and Balint groups for clinicians. In addition, Shi Min provides clinical supervision and public education. She is an Associate Faculty teaching counselling undergraduate students at the Singapore University of Social Sciences. Lastly, she has been appointed as an advisor of Calm Collective Asia, providing supervision and program consultancy for their peer support group program, namely Calm Circles.

Yun Fern Kok

Clinical experience

With over 15 years of experience as a clinical psychologist in Institute of Mental Health (IMH), I have journeyed with individuals and families through a broad spectrum of mental health challenges across diverse populations and settings (including forensic), from young to older adults in inpatient and outpatient care. My experience spans across a wide range of conditions and issues such as depression, trauma, anxiety, OCD, personality disorders,
relationship issues, grief, gender diversity and sexual orientation, as well as stressful life events. With a special interest in assessments, I have conducted numerous psychological and psychometric assessments, e.g. intellectual, neuropsychological, ADHD, autism and personality assessments as part of diagnostic, mental capacity and forensic evaluations. I am proficient in writing forensic and medicolegal reports.


As a former senior member of IMH Psychology Department, I provided clinical supervision to junior colleagues, and held various consultative portfolios in hospital committees. I had also represented IMH in several international conferences and was active in ministry-level initiatives in crisis management and digital mental health.

I am trained in a broad spectrum of therapeutic interventions which include but not limited to: cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, schema therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, emotion-focused therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, and interpersonal psychotherapy. Eunice is a clinical psychologist with experience across public hospitals in Singapore, including her most recent role as Senior Psychologist at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. She provides psychotherapy for adolescents and adults facing diverse psychological challenges, such as depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, eating disorders, personality disorders, relationship struggles, grief, gender and sexual orientation concerns, self-esteem issues, and stress-related challenges. Eunice offers both in-person and tele-consult therapy.

Eunice adopts an integrative and personalized approach to therapy, incorporating evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Her work is also deeply influenced by attachment theory and she guides clients to explore how early attachment experiences influence their current emotional and relational challenges. With a special focus and interest in a process-based approach, Eunice delves into the emotional patterns and relational dynamics affecting her clients’ mental health. Clinical experience

Amelia’s clinical experience in both Singapore and Australia reflects a diverse and comprehensive background in working with children, adolescents, and parents. In her experience of various settings such as private psychological clinics, community support services and schools, she has provided psychological assessments for learning and attention difficulties, developmental and behavioural needs, and school readiness.


Having worked closely with families and schools of the local and international community, she has tackled a range of issues including behaviour and anger management, anxiety and mood-related issues, learning difficulties and peer conflicts. She has facilitated various social skills groups aimed at building resiliency and coping skills. Having a keen interest in providing parenting support, Amelia has facilitated parenting trainings for families. Previously, Amelia was an educator in an autism-focused school, providing academic, socio-emotional and behavioural supports.

In supporting individuals with diverse needs, Amelia adopts a collaborative stance by working with both the child and parent. She often uses attachment and behavioural approaches, such as the Circle of Security model and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

Rena Kowaki

Clinical experience

Rena holds a Master’s Degree in Counselling from Monash University. Her experience includes working with adolescents and adults, supporting clients with anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, relationship issues, grief and loss, trauma, emotional regulations, stress, and burnout.


Rena recognizes that everyone goes through various changes and challenges in life, and she believes that everyone deserves the right to mental wellness. She aims to eliminate the stigma surrounding seeking help and ensure that everyone has a safe space to talk about it.


Having grown up in Japan and lived in Australia, Canada, and Singapore, Rena understands the importance of multicultural sensitivity and the need for a broader perspective and deep empathy for individuals from all walks of life. Before her role as a counsellor, she enjoyed working as a teacher in Singapore. Her experience of working closely with a diverse population has equipped her to appreciate individuals’ uniqueness and to be non-judgmental and respectful of different worldviews, values, or beliefs.

Theoretical approaches that align with clinical and personal values include Person-Centered Therapy. She firmly believes that every individual has their own strength and inner resources to work on their challenges. She has completed professional courses in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy from the Beck Institute and is currently undergoing training and receiving regular supervision in Acceptance and Commitment Theory, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Schema Therapy.

Rena tailors her therapeutic approach to best meet each client’s unique needs. Most importantly, she is dedicated to building trusting relationships with her clients and providing a safe and collaborative space for them to discover and embrace their authentic selves, ultimately fostering meaningful personal growth.

Kristi has been in clinic management for the past five years. Bilingual in English and Indonesian, she can also get by in French.


Kristi has lived in Indonesia and Britain and, for the past 15 years, in Singapore.

While she does not always know what the problem is, she is sure that coffee – good coffee - is part of the answer.
